The KJLH Sunday Gospel Brunch has been a hit since its first week at The Reef Restaurant in Long Beach, California.
Stellar Award winning radio station, 102.3 KJLH FM, has gathered hundreds at The Reef each week since the second week of February. Bringing the powerful sounds the Gospel music industry together along with fellowship and good food, the event has seen hot Los Angeles acts and even some out of town guests.
Past artists include some of the following choirs and artists: Denetria Cahmp, Sean Dancy & the Vision, Yolanda Harris Dancy, Shirley Murdock, Swoop Brown, Bizzle, Keyo, Nysa Shenay, The CME Community Choir, GLACC, Lorenzo Johnson & Praizum, B McCargo and Kingdom Worship, The Antioch Church of Long Beach Praise Team and many more!
In order to give back, KJLH Radio offers local church and community choirs the opportunity to showcase thier sound as well as make a little bit of extra money.
The brunch took a two week break for Easter and Spring Break and will return this Sunday and continue until Sunday, November 18th, 2012. There will be no brunch on May 13, in observance of Mothers Day.
This week will feature the Voices of Watts Choir of the Tree of Life Baptist Church, lead by Willie Daniels alons with the Jazzy sounds of LaRita Shelby, 10-year-old Gospel Seansation Noah, and it will debut the "Radio Free KJLH Performance Choir" and the dance ministry of Chanel Green. It will be hosted by KJLH's own Nautica De La Cruz and comedian Derrick Ellis.
