KTLA reports that a young man, Etasel Cardenas, was found dead Easter Sunday, after residents reportedly heard gunshots in the city of Echo Park. The 21-year-old victim was found "unresponsive" in his parked car by family members. Police are still investigating what happened.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police are investigating the Sunday morning death
of a man who was shot as he sat inside his car along a street in the Echo Park area. Residents reported hearing gunshots about 1:40 p.m. near the intersection of Kensington Road and Echo Park Terrace.
About 20 minutes later, the 21-year-old man's family went outside and found him seated in his car, which was parked in the 1000 block of W. Kensington Road.The victim, identified as Etasel Cardenas, was not responsive and his family members did immediately notice his gunshot wounds, according to a news release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department.
