Trayvon Martin: An Investigator had his Doubts

As more details unveil from day to day, ABC News reports that the lead homicide investigator on the Trayvon Martin case initially called for George Zimmerman, who fatally shot the 17 year old, to be charged with manslaughter. Now the state's attorney's office, however, reportedly ruled that there was not enough evidence for a conviction. On the night of the shooting, an investigator filed an affidavit saying he had doubts about what Zimmerman said happened... Now this is even though Zimmerman's claims of self defense was accepted and he was freed. To complicate matters further, the first person to talk to Zimmerman was a narcotics officer, NOT a homicide detective. Hmmmmmm......

In other News,

California state Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen introduced legislation yesterday to make it a felony for K-12th grade teachers to date a student regardless of age. Now this is all responding to a high-profile case at a Modesto high school in which the student is an adult.

Olsen said she wanted to impose a felony charge in such cases because there are already as many as 23 other states that have similar penalties for teachers in the same circumstances.
