LA School Board Desision, The Goodfellas & The Zimmerman's


The Los Angeles Board of Education  approved a labor deal yesterday that could preserve thousands of jobs but it does with a cost.... It would shorten the school year by up to a week and reduce teacher salaries as much as 5%.
Now the Members of the teachers union still have to approve it for it to go into effect and they are scheduled to vote later today.

Henry Hill -- the former mobster whose life story became the basis for the 1990 movie   "Goodfellas" -- died yesterday night at the age of 69. According to his long time girlfriend Hill passed away in an L.A. hospital  after a long battle with an undisclosed illness.

George Zimmerman’s Wife was Arrested
Thats right, The wife of the Sanford, Fla., neighborhood watchman who shot Trayvon Martin earlier this year was arrested on one count of perjury, according to a press release from law enforcement officials. Now this all started brewing earlier this month  when prosecutors in George Zimmerman’s case argued  that Shellie Zimmerman had misled the court regarding the couple’s financial standing, neglecting to mention funds her husband had collected through a PayPal account that totaled nearly $135,000.
