If you have seen the movie red tails or know about this
portion of balck history than you know about Tuskegee airman of the our nations
air force who were a black only unit in the military that fought to support our
freedom. In the same way there were black marines who served in segregated units
and have unfortunately received less press. However Thursday some 400 men were
honored for there hard work. They received awards from our nation’s congress that
was due them in the 40s for their service in World War 2.
LA County has its own condom. That’s right; the slogan of
the new contraceptive is “suit up.” Its design features a black bow tie. This
particular condom was the winning design of a contestant where over 500 entries
were submitted to the "L.A.'s
Next Sex Symbol" competition in May. The decision on which design to
choose was made by a panel of judges including popular blogger Perez Hilton. They
will be distributed free of charge across the county later this year.
